Another year round the sun feels pretty good! 🥳 Thank you for all the birthday wishes, I’m having a really lovely time staying for a couple of nights in a friend’s amazing beach house in Cornwall.

Feeling oh-so-much better now I can do a little turbo training. I really, really struggled with not doing any exercise during Covid even though I was over it so quickly. The inactivity really made me feel so frustrated and angsty. I guess if it hadn't come right after a Christmas spent lazing around (unavoidable when you've lots of kids/family around) when I was keener than ever to be active then I might not have found the time off quite such a pain. Turbo training has never felt such a treat!

We have reached the two-year anniversary of Covid and unfortunately I actually have it! I remember feeling absolutely incredulous the first time we were locked down, questioning again and again whether this could really be happening. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Though I'm now in a place of resigned acceptance, the pandemic continues to affect us big time. And January can be a gloomy month, let's face it. Trying not to get too down about a crap start to the year as I don't feel awfully unwell, just a little poorly. But can't deny how frustrated I am - after being ill half the autumn I posted some awful test results when @trainsharp put me through my paces (video about that coming Weds) so I'm very motivated to work hard right now. I've just entered @migrationgravelrace too. Fingers crossed this is just another blip and I'll be back at it very quickly.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
