Empire of Dirt
Went down to the Empire of Dirt this weekend with a bunch of mates. We camped in a great place with an icy river running though it and did our best to destroy our livers. I think we did pretty well – I feel like crap now.
The BMX event itself was great. It was a dirt slopestyle and the course looked amazing with huge table, hips, wallrides, spines…. Makes our lame ass tricks on fixed gear bikes look rubbish in comparison!
In the end, Corey Bohan took the title our livers took a beating. Thanks to Kat @ Redbull for sorting out our passes and to lovely Emily for organising the minibus and the tent. Shame that we forgot the poles…
